Sun · Moon · Rising
These three are read first, and they are why one sign cannot describe a person. More often than not they fall in three different signs.
- Sun · your outward self
- The sun is the self you are growing towards, the part that shows. It needs only your birth date, which is why it is the one everybody knows.
- Moon · the grain of your feelings
- The moon is how you feel when nobody is watching, and what settles you. It changes sign roughly every two days, so the hour starts to matter.
- Rising · first impression
- The rising sign is whichever sign was climbing the eastern horizon at your birth: first impressions, and the face you meet the world with. It turns over about every two hours, so it needs both the time and the place.
Common questions
- Can I still get a chart if I don't know my birth time?
- Yes. Without a time we calculate from noon. The sun and most planets keep their signs exactly; the moon, rising sign and houses become approximate.
- Why does the birthplace matter?
- The rising sign and the houses are worked out from the sky over one place at one moment. At the same instant somewhere else, a different sign is on the horizon.
- How is this different from a tarot reading?
- A chart reads the sky you were born under, so it speaks to disposition. Tarot answers the question you are asking now. Use the chart for who you are, tarot for what to do next.
- Is it free?
- The chart and the daily horoscope are free once a day. No credits are spent.
